C&V Cinelli Bike....

...Stand!

Bought this a few years back at a parking lot sale. I needed one and this was cooler than cool. Not sure if it really is a Cinelli product or if the decal was plastered on there to look cool. Very handy, not as much as most current stands, but this one was $15 and it collapses neatly and fits on the floor of the bike shed. He also had an old Gary Fisher MTB from the 80's with a funky cantilever stem and Biopace C/Rs. My wife wanted that, so it came along as well.

Cinelli marketed, yes. Not a bad workstand, my only issue with these and I think I am in a minority is that one does not get to adjust the front brake and double check the front wheel while in the stand. That and almost every bike with a different front center dimension required an adjustment of the stand.

It's for real. I have a Cinelli accessory catalog that shows a stand very similar to this. I have a wheel truing stand that would mount on your stand. As repechage said, Cinelli marketed, but not old Cinelli quality.

Yeah, that's where the current design of bike stands rule, with this baby sure one can work on the drive side of things but the front end? Not a chance! I Only have one road bike ever it weems and I had it set last for a Lemond Zurich, but with that out of the stable it's set for my latest effort, a late 80's early 90's Vitus (which I cannot put in the stand since the fork is out and needs the crown race replaced...).

CV-6, how much for that truing stand???

I have a slightly different Cinelli bike stand. It also came with a truing stand. I cleaned it up and it looks much better, but here are some before pictures:

Stand is not for sale and as you can see it is not nearly the quality of WJV's wheel truing stand

Ha, I have a genuine Cinelli wheel truing stand that is the funkiest thing imaginable, though it works. They did better with bikes!

Oh, that's the one I have, though no blue. Is it part of the workstand? I always thought it was meant to be held in a vice.

Yes it can be mounted in a vise. But it can also be mounted on the work stand. At least it looks that way to me.

Nothing like a sticker to make a piece of crap more legit.

I'm guessing it would mount to the round post the fork sets on, that truing stand is in far better shape than my stand and WJV's stand is more useful with it's double clamps and parts tray! I'm guessing they subbed these out to a iron fence maker down the strada lol

I have a Cinelli stand like that, it was called the Model 90. Got mine at the Alpenrose Velodrome swap meet a few years ago for $5, did a ten minute brazing repair on it, and it's very useful for some things. I have a few customers who are diehard Softride users--they come in, the Cinelli 90 comes out!
