Where to buy a La Madonna del Ghisallo emblem?

Iv'e been looking for a La Madonna del Ghisallo emblem/medallion (La Madonna ti Protegga), but it's really hard to find a internet store with the emblem. It's sometimes available on eBay.

Yes I found some rather expensive duplicates from the states.

Is there no authorised Italian shop for this?

I had the thought that the emblem was only available at the chapel. But wouldn't Madonne del Ghisallo protect you no matter how you got the emblem? Or even if you don't have it
Poseur and pilgrimage is just a way to judge for us mere mortals.

Only if you're catholic, though there's probably a workaround that involves a donation. There is no "no" in the catholic church, only a list of paid extras.

These are very nice too. Here in euroland there are also bells with the saint stamped in on top, for that extra safe commute.

Could always adapt a St Christopher car visor clip. Some even say "Behold Saint Christopher, and go thy way in safety". http://www.catholicsupply.com/christmas/visorclip.html
I have it, and the Guardian Angel.

If you look under Patron Saint on the website above, you'll also find St. Mary of Ghisallo, but they aren't cheap, as they are sterling or gold. I'll keep looking for something in a brass or steel.

If anyone's interested, I make Buddhist versions (from Buddhist amulets of protection). I made a batch and took them to the Chicago swap. They sold pretty briskly....

I was at the chapel late last summer, and toured the excellent museum right next door. They weren't selling them there, but maybe they're for sale in the tiny village.

You can buy them at the bar/newsttand just a few meters from the chapel. I have a few somewhere but shipping them to Europe is counterproductive.

Thanks for the link. St. Christopher and Our Lady of the Highway bike clip looked interesting.

The same as for Père Lachaise Cemetery in Paris. You can get a map in the bar next to the entrance.

Thanks for turning me onto this blog!

It's certainly unique and I like what I've seen so far. The author has some nice messages on there.

I'd be interested in getting a Buddhist Amulet for my bike. How? You can contact me at Casey.Sellentin at gmail. Thanks and have a great day.
