LaScorsa Nuovo...heard of it?

I've been searching Yahoo Auctions Japan for bikes, as dumpster diving and junk yard hunting arent things you can do in Tokyo, and I found one of these early 80's LaScorsa Nuovo's. Has anyone heard of this? https://page13.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/j...ion/r101994256

Still doing research but it seems like La Scorsa was Panasonic's old bike line?? Google translate doesn't understand Japanese well.

The bike in question seems to have standard sidepulls.

Personally if it is under $300 I might buy forst and ask later

It would end up costing me around $450 when its finally at my house.

I did find this last night, Cinelli Unica w/columbus brain tubing. seems to have 6 bids already and the price could increase. I cant find much information on it and unfortunately the forums search function keeps giving me errors. https://page16.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/u47476885

Lovely "sportif cycle". If only the Japanese were my size .

I really like the mirrored NDS decal. Cool detail.

Yes, having been actively searching for a randonneur or road bike at Yahoo Auctions over the last year or so, I've seen many LaScorsa models up for bid. That blue one looks nice, but not 35,000 yen nice; way to high in my opinion. I'm no expert, but I do know that the big name Japanese bicycle companies built vast numbers of "touring" or randonneur bikes for the Japanese market between 1975 and 1985. Many are low to mid level, others are exceptional, works of art in their own way (like that Atlantis (I think that's the name) that went for over a grand a week ago). I seriously doubt that the blue LaScorsa will sell for 35,000 yen ($350), unless you buy it. Give it a week or two and the seller will come down, as he's already lowered the starting bid from what it was ten days ago. The same seller has nicer red LaScorsa for sale for 55,000 yen (down from 65,000); still way way to high.

Yea i saw that too. Looks VERY nice but really expensive for what appears to be a common mass produced bike. I'm really wanting a bike with a rack now though...had to push my bike and carry a box like 2km today after 5 mins of trying to juggle it and manage my brakes. Maybe if they take the price to 30,000 i'd jump on it. Still rather have the red one though.
