A fine brand. Always gets my attention whenever there's one for sale. Which is not very often. And I got outbid every time so far. It's hard to judge from your pictures, but it looks like a nice bike in need of a lot of TLC.

KonAaron Snake 05-21-13 02:38 PM

There was a Plum cyclocross bike up that I really liked a few months ago...I was outbid once, and when it came up for sale again, I was sort of over it. Really beautiful bike though...I'd love to know more about the marquee.

eastlin 05-21-13 02:38 PM

TLC?

Everything is in fine Condition except some Surface Rust on the fork, so it will need some work on that.
but do you think its a gd price?

Italuminium 05-21-13 02:52 PM

Hard to tell since the pics where taken by a savage only recently
introduced to the miracles of photography and MS paint, but probably a good bike. I'm a little worried about the fork crown, it looks really rusty! I'd say try to talk him down to 75.

eastlin 05-21-13 02:54 PM

in the Fork Crown Its Surface Rust.
Those Old Racers are attractive bikes here in north europe, so this is actually a cheap price. haha

Munny 05-21-13 02:56 PM

You need to change this ugly saddle.

A Vainqueur has been my daily bike for the winter and drove better than I was thinking.
The frame detailing is not as nice as I hoped and apparently they had various shops and different level of quality.
To get an opinion on the price, you should mention the type of Equipment

eastlin 05-21-13 02:56 PM

Oooh, Ye Im Converting Definently to a Fixie/SS

No doubts about that. hehe.

ftwelder 05-21-13 03:46 PM

Very desirable in my book. It would be great to see more photos as you work on the bike.

eastlin 05-21-13 03:49 PM

so what you think bout the price?

Maybe can get it down to 100 Dollars.
Complete working bike.

Are you certain that fork is sound?

Those pictures make me nervous.

ftwelder 05-22-13 03:28 AM

It has been nearly two days and we are still haggling over $20.00? I think you already have the bike are are trying to drive us to madness. :crash:

eastlin 05-22-13 03:54 AM

I got the offer yesterday to buy it from my colleague.

He bought it from a Local bike shop, Fully renovated for around 300 dollar.. 6 months later he can sell it to me for 120 dollars because he thinks its not a optimal bike for just commuting.

He said its just surface rust, im starting work in 1 hour and gonna Look if its all good, even try the bike!.. then im gonna buy it if all adds up.

best regards

Thanks for sharing your photos. It seems like the original paint and chrome is quite good. I hope you consider keeping or repairing the original paint.

These photos must be from before the shop serviced it?

It looked good before and after serivce then my colleague bought it and used it during winter in snow and salt...so it ruined much, but ye i ordered some parts but still thinking about the paint.

those picture is as it is now :(
but i cleaned it yesterday so it made it a bit better.

non-fixie 05-27-13 11:35 AM

Looks like a nice frame in not-too-bad shape. I would keep the frame as it is, but the fork could do with a re-chrome.
