A bike with 700b wooden rims 28 x 1 1/2"
I have a friend who loves to collect bikes with wooden rims. Thought I'd pick this up for him, but first I'd like to learn more about it.
I know you like photos, I enjoy learning so can anyone teach me a little about this one?
56cm frame, forks look straight steeper than I was expecting.
3 speed rear cog, no derailleur
brake clamps on!
head tube, local location. lug's datable?
700b
28 x 1 1/2"
The rear end looks dented, the guy I brought it from probably found it in the dump. Could the damage be recent, or before. Looks Repainted, are the wheels the originals? I hoping to build up a racer (that fits me) from the 40's / 50's so getting closer to acquiring enough parts for one.

Is that a fixed gear rear hub? Looks to me like an old track bike. That would also explain the quick release brakes.
I don't think I could resist that one if it were in my neighborhood.

Nice! There are quite a few of these to be found on the web. Search for "cycles pasquet salon".

With forward facing drops and drilled stamped brake bridge? Personally I would like to see more on how the brakes are ziptied to the frame.

The rear brake bridge is drilled for a brake, just not one as long as what is mounted. Something isn't right.

I have plenty of period correct parts such as a pelissier wheel set so I hope to build this up and ride it.
