Some small parts needed here
 

Hello all,

I'm working on my classic Fuso bike from the late 80s. Everything is pretty much all original and I want to keep it that way. It's mostly period Dura Ace 7400 stuff on it. I'll see about getting some pics posted when I get it back together. There are nicks on the paint so be fore warned, this has been a cruising bike.

There are a few small parts I'm looking for and I'm hoping I could get some direction or suggestions on tracking them down. First part is those little wingnuts for dropout adjusting screws,

Next item is the little adjustment shaft thing (sorry I don't know the technical name of it. I'll get two of these if they're at a decent price,

The third item on this post is a replacement pulley. The one I'm replacing is pretty beat up and even cracked.

The other pulley on the derailleur seems to be in pretty good shape and getting one that matches this one would be great.

The last item is a bottom bracket for my bike. I wondering if anyone would like to make a suggestion on a replacement. This is a square taper BB that is English and 110mm. My last one was a BB-UN54 and I surprisingly wore that out. At least to the point that it started squeaking on me. It would be great to get a quality BB and feel free to suggest whatever you like.

Those Shimano cartridge bottom brackets (and their Campy brothers) can sound like they are falling apart when dirt gets into the loose cup. Have you tried removing it, cleaning and reinstalling it? That could save you some money if dirt is the problem.

Thanks for the reply busdriver. I was under the impression that a sealed BB meant sealed, as in you open it up and you'll never be able to close it again. You might as well try rebuilding a crashed satellite. I guess I'll take it apart and see. I didn't have any plans for it.

I think he meant for you to remove the bb from the frame, not take it apart. Dirt gets between the left (non drive side) cup and the bb unit itself, and can cause the squeak. IDK about everything else, ebay or a good LBS might be able to help you out.

You'll probably just have to buy new dropout adjustment screws which will come complete with screw, spring and end cap. Do a web search for multitudes of online sources, about $5.00US per set. Not worth trying to find odd parts to replace what you've lost. The end caps seem to be something that gets lost every once in a while. Maybe a drop of blue locktite on the new ones? Probably available locally too.

That's about all I can help with having gone through the search recently myself.

The shaft thingy is a brake barrel adjuster; I don't know where you can find separate from the brake unless you want to go with an earlier version; http://www.loosescrews.com/index.cgi...d=453521914624.

You also need to know that the pulley your looking for is different than the one in good shape. Here is a pair that sold on ebay http://www.ebay.com/itm/Shimano-Dura...p2047675.l2557. The pulley you have is a G Centeron jockey pulley, you need a new lower tension pulley (the one marked narrow).

Forget finding brake adjusters, DA calipers have plastic inserts that fit into the arms and then the adjusters fit into the inserts. You can cobble together something with other than DA adjusters but it'll be just that, cobbled. Jockeys wheels are a different story, many Shimano derailleurs used 'Centuron G' pulleys but the DA price was metal w/ titanium oxide coating the bushing. Ceraminc G pulleys are nice alternative and for the bidget conscious regular G-pulley's will work.5X BB's are nice middle of the road BB's, look for a 7X or 9X in the appropriate axle length.
