Where's the pictures of your collection?

Shp4man 06-14-13 01:28 PM

I ride all my bikes, current count is four. Some more than others. I need to ride the Diamond Back this weekend to test out the replacement suspension fork. I can't believe the original one cracked and started leaking. :)

puchfinnland 06-14-13 01:46 PM

wall hangers are WOFTAM, I sell off all my nos because I cant enjoy the stuff.
A bike is to be pampered, used and enjoyed, I enjoy using a brush and rag to clean my PUCH after every ride.
chain must be kept spotless and waxed.

I ride all my bikes , with the oldests, it is a sort of temporal space travel......I think that to ride on an old BROOKS , with the claps of the olds MAFAC "racer" as with my 1963 LA PERLE "course" , is a real privilege .....I test all my bikes , climbing the little cols of the country ,and my favorit for this exercise is my 1975 Lucien AIMAR with ELVISH frame ....

This is going to be a silly question, but in the OP (gorgeous bikes by the way) are those spare tubes under the saddles?

lostarchitect 06-14-13 03:02 PM

I wouldn't own a bike that I didn't ride... That's part of the reason I only have 3 now. My Trek I ride almost daily, my Colian weekly, and my JRJ, well, it would be monthly or so but I always have it taken apart! I need to sort that bike out.

aidanpringle 06-14-13 03:13 PM

My C&V collection consists of one bike so I feel inclined to ride it, yes I ride my collection!

Michael Angelo 06-14-13 04:23 PM

I ride all of them, from the cruisers to the sunday racers.

gioscinelli 06-14-13 04:33 PM

Yes, I have spare tube in my back pocket and under the rear of the saddle ( people on the Lake Front who are in need of assistance) or anyone else. I've been offered money, but my response has always been, help someone else as payment.

top506 06-14-13 05:08 PM

I don't have a 'collection'. I do have a barn full of bikes I ride.

I had no idea that pics were a required component of riding them. I feel so inadequate.

Oh wait, I do have some pics around somewhere. This pic is from last year and is missing one I'm still working on. It will have to do...

I'd ride norskagent's bikes, too, but I'm unable to find his spare key. So far.

I ride all of mine except the Giant MCR and the Hot tubes TT bike.

I can't get the Giant dialed in.

I haven't entered a TT in a while, nor do I care to.

I sold this today, had it a few months.
I liked it, but like the money better.

There is another build that will come in, and I see no reason not to ride it, as well.

This. And I often have a hard time deciding which one to ride.

Not a lot of pictures of me on a bike. you'll just have to take my word. I have these two. Don't know why I'm smiling. The first one was climbing all day. The second was a 50 mile road race.

Yes, absolutely.

Ditto.

I can ride a different bike for three weeks if I want to although it is just a couple of bikes that handle the lion's share of the mileage.

frantik 06-14-13 07:26 PM

Most of my collection is currently in the queue for overhauling, but i don't keep bikes if they don't get ridden

Now you see why I'd steal his bikes.

norskagent 06-14-13 08:02 PM

haha too small for you robbie!

wrk101 06-14-13 08:59 PM

What doesn't get ridden moves on to another home. I may put up a wall hanger display rack in my shop. Bikes will still get ridden, I'll just rotate them through the display.

I see a reason. You won't get far without pedals. :D

Lenton58 06-15-13 12:40 AM

I've only ever had four on the go at once, but they were all ridden because they were all built to suit different applications, varying conditions and my ever-changing mood. Someday I hope to have my five frames on the road so I can adjust the ride to more moods. :D

I must be really moody.
