Whoa, that is cool. I've been a fan of the early Merlins, but I wasn't aware of the engraved Cyrene model before.

Looks like pretty deep engravings. I wonder how much material is left beneath the engraving.

Modern enough for what?

I'm sure it's a better bike than 99.9% of what's being made today.

Plenty. They used a slightly thicker walled tubing for these bikes.

Speaking of the vintage, classic and antique designation, with bikes I'm guessing classic is about 20+ years vintage is 30+ and antique is anything over 50 years. Kinda like cars?

And that bike is classic beyond reproach! Never ridden one, but always recognized their awesomeness (which counts for nothing on the Internet...).

I think one of these framesets might be for sale in Nelo's bike shop in Austin, probably around a 53-55 cm size if I recall correctly.

No issue in my mind. This forum is for classic and vintage and that IS classic, in my humble opinion. Long have I wanted to try out a titanium frame - just to see. Lovely bicycle and thanks for sharing.

I almost pulled the trigger on a non-engraved model last month. Awesome bike, Jim.

Thx, I cant say a bad thing about it, it's simply amazing. This is my 3rd titanium bike in the past 2 years and in comparison to the others, which are both top tier bikes, there is no comparison. If it were a size smaller it wouldn't be for sale.
