I need a couple of visuals

Hi All, I'd like to see some photos of drop bars with grey, any shade, bar tape and brake levers with white hoods. To me it's not a good combo, but a photo could change my mind. The frame is a blue-black (like fountain pen ink) on the front third that fades to a grey for the remainder of the frame.

TIA,
Brad

Brad,

I think it really makes a difference how the rest of the bike is appointed. Those hoods are going to need some help, so maybe some housing, a saddle, and a lower accent may help. White lettering on rims or frame could help. The darker the grey, the better the white will look, but you'll still need to accent it somewhere else. Almost sounds like a Douglas Motive I used to own, same color scheme.

Robbie, It looks like I can side step this issue. When it all comes to close I'll post up some info.

I've never seen or had grey bar tape.
Nearest thing I've got is this and that's not really close at all.

I can show you the grey tape, but for the rest of it I can't help you, unfortunately

Lamplight, Your photo confirms my impression that grey tape with black hoods is an attractive match. Those look like 600 levers, which I'll be using and I hope to find a grey tape as close as possible to the lever itself. The saddle I'm considering is two tone black and blue.

Thanks,
Brad

Oh, you want a picture of grey tape. Sure.
Grey tape (FUBAR), black hoods, blue bike.
I thought the grey set off the lettering and wheels.

Good eye! This tape was lighter than those levers. It was a light grey Cinellia cork tape. I think a darker grey, closer to the levers, would actually look better. So far this is the only dark grey tape I've found:

https://www.amazon.com/Fizik-Bicycle-.../dp/B000N0ORQU

And I'm not sure how accurate that photo is.

Robbie, Thanks for the photo. I think I can pull off a decent, if not uber attractive package...photos for criticism when finished.

Lamplight, I've used Fizik tape and it's pretty good, just under Cinelli in my opinion (tough to beat the feel of cork). Thanks for the lead.
