I miss riding this one. Partner and I are no longer together but I kept this one.
Hopefully I can use it again one day. Otherwise I'll likely sell it if it keeps collecting dust.
So much randonneuring potential.

I get a lot of comments on my '64 Legnano Roma, had since new, a few battle scars, just like the rider.

Great looking bike! And you route your cables from the bar end shifters like I do. Nice and clean.

Is it the bike frame/color or the Scott aerobars and GripShifts that arouse their interest?

Not sure. I think the Ironman color scheme. The last time I had it in a triathlon, three people commented on it. One even asked for a picture. But better than that was the 20 something year old guy in shape enough to be wearing speedos and having the appreciation of vintage to tell me I had a Cool bike.

I'd say up to know it's been this one. Maybe because I always ride it with Red, White, and Blue jersey and socks.

But, just like Robbie above, I think as the new to me Y-Foil starts getting a lot of rides it will garner the most attention.

The ‘79 Miyata 912 with Gugificazione (4th major configuration in those 40 years) gets close-up looks when parked, thumbs up from car drivers at a stop light, and compliments from bike and non-bike folks. Pretty sure that Waxwings bag gets their initial attention, then the gold housings and other touches bring them in for a closer look.

This bike has gotten quite a few compliments out on the road. The black and chrome combo is eye catching.

This one is gorgeous in person but doesn't seem to be very photogenic. It's a 1982 McLean that I've had since 1983.

An old pic without some mild tweaks.

Ran over to Sea Salt for dinner last night.

Quite a few questions about that "old bike" while we were waiting in line.

Because I tend to find some unique bikes (or they find me!) a lot of mine garner some attention but the big old black Raleigh gets the most stares and comments, often including words like "bobby", "postie" or "Mary Poppins".

When I had this riding as a flat bar, and the Reynolds 853 rides spectacular in the full touring setup.
