What is the best looking single crankset in the universe?
Now that my current project is almost complete I am starting to plan a 1x8/9 project. I want to start with a really nice looking single crankset, probably 42t, used of course, cotterless, steel or alloy.
There is a Zeus track crankset on eBay that looks great but is 50t.

You'll have to avert your eyes from all these good looking 1/8" track cranks for multi-speed.
I'm partial to the many faces of TA. This one is about to go on a townie.

I bought it for a build years ago, then I wound up buying the entire bike, so I didn't need any of the build parts. It also would not be a suitable replacement for the crank on the bike I bought. Since I am not a collector of parts, I sold it to a collector of parts in Japan

iab said it.
But if you want square taper and alloy, I think a garden variety Campagnolo Record crank set with a single ring looks fantastic.
