My 1983: N3L0583 manufactured about June 10, 1983

Has the triangle cut-out.

I just picked up a 1983 Centurion Turbo about 3 weeks ago which I posted about here https://www.bikeforums.net/showthread...=#post15774529. I'd love to get a copy of the 1983 catalog so I can see what is/isn't original on my Turbo. I hadn't heard if anybody was going to be able get it posted on Sheldon Browns site or velobase.

I'm the only one in the whole wide world that has the catalog, bwahahahahah. No, actually, I scanned it and emailed the scans to go-to Centurion guy RobbieTunes, and he said he'd pass it on to his friend at sheldonbrown.com which may or may not put them online. Meanwhile:

1983 Centurion Catalog scans?

I am looking for a complete digital copy of the 1983 Centurion Bicycle catalog. In reading through the thread I discovered your images for the Turbo 12 and Pro Tour 15 catalog scans. Thanks for those images.

How might I obtain the full catalog as a series of digital files?

I see reference that you forwarded the information to RobbieTunes for possible inclusion on the Sheldon Brown site, but cannot find the 1983 catalog at SheldonBrown.com

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

I'll see if I can find them again and post the the full set as a thread. Then you can copy paste images however you like.

The 1981 Pro Tour had no cut out in the rear dropout.

@balindamood Pro tour 15 serial number is early in 1983. No cut out.

The 1983 catalog picture would be an early model. No cut out.

@Watchbird Pro Tour 15 serial number is late in 1983. Triangle cut out

All the pictures of 1984 Pro Tour 15s, that I have seen there is a triangle cut out in the rear dropout.

My guess is that sometime in the middle of 1983 there was a change from the no cut out drop out, to the triangle cutout dropout.

my '83 has no cutout. It's a 25" frame. Could this be a tubeset or frame size issue?

The difference in the dropout could be due to frame size.

I'm still working on @pedalnmetal 's hypothesis that it is a time thing. Early 1983 PT15's had no cut out and late 1983 PT15's had a cut out.

If you do not mind sharing, what is the serial number on your PT15?
