Schmidt Son28 dynamo hub http://www.nabendynamo.de/produkte/son_28_en.html That one is amazingly clean, mines never been that clean since I put it on the bike a few years back.

Anything will do.

Well in the interest of adding some stuff that isn't quite so shiny, here's some cool parts off my most recent acquisition. (Except the ideale clamp, been waiting for a worthy bike for it)

https://farm4.staticflickr.com/3785/...583b5cf1_c.jpg
Airlite flip-flop hub in some pretty simplex dropouts

https://farm6.staticflickr.com/5452/...2f670481_c.jpg
A stronglight bottom bracket for a 5-pin cottered crank (that only has half its chrome left)

https://farm4.staticflickr.com/3832/...7006eec0_c.jpg
Some clamp-on simplex shifters. The rubber is surprisingly supple... still need some clean-up though.

https://farm6.staticflickr.com/5466/...accbfa11_c.jpg
An ideale saddle clamp...
https://farm6.staticflickr.com/5450/...b2effae3_c.jpg
with some nifty micro-adjustment on the backside.

Sorry for the crappy pics.

Based on the number of times I heard 'cool cranks' on a ride last weekend, this is the coolest component I own.

I love brakesets and have quite a few in my stash, but I've been a longtime fan of Mavic's 851 SSC derailleurs, so I've had may good share of them:
http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y44...cture136-1.jpg
I now have them on pretty much all my 80's bikes, including an 801 set (silver non-SSC version, but otherwise identical) on my PSV....
Glad to find all of them when they were still affordable. Now they are too expensive for my project budgets, thanks to "mega price" sellers that drove their and many other C&V French component prices up to about double in just the last two/three years.......blehhhh.... So not too many new cool component buys since...
Oh, here an cool crankset that I need to eventually find a project to land on....

Copper I guess, judging by the amount of green crud on them when I got the saddle. It's a beautiful saddle, just waiting for the Right Bike to put it on.

This Super LJ 6000 with Bullseye pulleys is pretty cool, but I'm not because I've got the inner cage half upside down.

And I thought I was the only one who did dumb stuff like that. ;) Well, it works that way, eh?

Nice derailleur.

I think this is the same third generation Rally I have in my signature photo. I had it as an unused NOS a few years ago I think was the most jewel-like bike part that ever came from a factory. Specatular detailing.
Beautiful pictures, by the way.
