Does Zeus = Campy?
 

Will this Zeus adapter work straight up to convert a Campy NR front derailleur from clamp to braze on?

I can't say about this specific adapter, but in general, Zeus does not equal Campy. Both are good quality, however.

Thanks for the input, Road Fan. As you already point out, I wasn't talking about the general, rather the specific. And research has yielded the answer I need. For the sake of future reference this Zeus adapter is not a direct offset for the Campy. It will not work.

Can you explain further? What dimensions do not match? And did you check your conclusions by looking at how they line up on actual parts? Sometimes small numerical differences in the specs do not matter when you get right down to it.

In this case, the owner of the Zeus piece pictured told me that he checked it against a Campy derailleur and the fit is slightly off.

Sometimes, like in chainrings, Zeus and Campy had key dimensions that are close but not workable.

zeus was often a copy of campa... i know i have a zeus clamp wit a campy mech on it somewhere...
