aero shaped seat posts, what would you use?

Ok some i'm thinking of a build and i was hoping to use an aero seat post. I already use Campy chorus and campy c-record seat posts on my other bikes, i wants to use something different but still aero or unique or super shiny but i would like to keep an 80's look to it. Despite the title, if you have something unique but not aero please feel free to suggest it.

Price isn't really an issue. Can you guy suggest some options?

The only other one I can think of is the SR Aerolite.

Finding one in other than 26.0 or 27.2 should be choir.

buyer beware: I have a selcoff Campy clone, it says 27.2 but it's way out of spec so it won't fit a 27.2 tube.

I like an aero post. It makes me .00000000000000000000000000000001% closer to the Tour guys.

They are not hard to pick up if you are patient and stay attentive. I had a Selcof for years, thought it was just fine. I have a Miche that I like, a Chinese copy of a Campagnolo (a little heavy), a white one from whatwolf (installed before I noticed the brand-dp bike?), a Shimano 600, and a Campy. I don't think any of them are any lighter than other posts, in general.

In modern aero posts, I have a Mike Burrows, a Carbon Pro Stealth, and a Valdora........I digress...

Well, when i saw the title of this thread, my first suggestion was going to be Chorus, followed up by the Selcoff....

My problem is that most aero posts aren't long enough for me. I'm tall and usually have 16-18 cm of post showing.

I have a few dura ace posts - they look like crap compared to the Campy, but they're a lot cheaper. If money isn't part of the equation, I'd avoid those.

These are nice:

I chanced upon this Gipiemme Aero post during one of my builds and I got to really like it...

The black finished sides emphasizes the aero shape of the post and the resulting silver vertical points relates nicely to the lug points at the seat lug cluster of my bike. I have one with Miche markings on it that seems to be identical to this Gipiemme. which I'm planning to use on another project. Nice thing was, they did not cost too much. Around 40 bucks each.
I agree also with how nice the Shimano 600 aero post was, It so well made that you'd swear it came from a DA group.

+1 on the 600. Doesn't it have a small screw for fine adjustments?

It has a micro adjust up front that is very easy to set for a perfect saddle angle... it is far better than the Campy aero post in this respect.

The selle san marco post is really nice, thanks for reminding me, totally forgot about it!

Anyone have one for sale?

i would consider the Gipiemme one too, but not sure about the black, it works on your bike cause of the colors.

i'm kinda bummed, just missed one on ebay 5 days ago for 33 bucks BOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!

I have the Gipiemme on my wife's bike - it's a nice post.

The good news is that there's one on eBay - the bad news is it's pbbikes and will sit unsold until the hoarder estate sale.

It does and it is maybe even nicer polished than my Campagnolo's.

+1 To the 600 version. Market value of a nice 600 seatpost is half or less the equivalent Campy post.

Agreed.

Great set up.

Had one on an older Master Extra Light and it was set and forget.
