One thing leads to another!

I picked up this Scott "Sawtooth" adventure the other day on Craigs for $45 just because it's huge, it cleaned up well, very well mannered on the road, shifts very smoothly with the Shimano STI shifters which I could barely tuck under my riser bars I added. Biopace SG gearset is interesting, not sure if I can tell the difference though.

After I got it all back together, including new bottom bracket bearings and a wheel pack, I took it out on a shakedown cruise and realized I really liked the way it turned out, so much so that I rode further than planned. On the way back I zipped into a yard sale at a community child care center and immediately zeroed in on my latest $20 bike, 55cm, too small for me, but will make an excellent road bike for someone! A real beauty, I just need to finish cleaning it, and re wrapping the bars.

Just goes to show what happens when you ride further than planned, :~)

$20 for the Miyata? Just calling that a steal is an understatement.

Nice scores! Exage 500LX is a good group.

I ride a 55cm road frame. Too bad you aren't local to me!

I guess I would have to watch CL a lot closer, and hit the Garage Sales with gusto....I'm not much into flipping...and POACHING over in Tampa sounds like trouble! :-)
