Lot's of nice Lemond's, I'm surprised only two pages. A few of the paint schemes are among my favorites. I've seen some around here out and about, they always catch my eye.

Lemond Maillot Jaune - Pedal Room
2001 Maillot Jaune. Unfortunately doesn't fit as well as my MX Leader, so it's reluctantly for sale.

This is just a teaser.
I bought this pre-Trek Greg LeMond Cromor frame in, I believe, 1996. Ordered it, new, from Mike's Cyclery in Florida. It's been in a closet for most of it's life. I have a Campagnolo Athena 2010 carbon Ultra-shift group to equip it with.
If I calculated the spoke length correctly (the last set didn't turn out so well) it will have a wheelset with CXP-30 Mavic rims and 11-speed, silver, polished, Chorus hubs.
I still need to finish the cables, tape the bars and hang the crank and chain.
By the way, there are two films on Netflix featuring Greg LeMond. One is about his Tour d' France victories. It's title is "Slay the Badger". The other is about a "man who shall not be named here" and his seven Tour d' France wins (I refuse to call them victories). LeMond is featured, along with Betsy and Frankie Andreau.

I picked up this 2003 Zurich last week for my daughter-in-law's sister. She is a bit on the short side. I had been looking for a bike for her for a while. It is a women's triple and is 45cm.

2001 Lemond Maillot Jaune build
I just purchased this 2001 Maillot Jaune 853 frame and carbon fork off Ebay for $350 with free shipping (I thought it was a good deal). Chomping at the bit to get started on this build!

2001 Lemond Alpe D'Huez
Not exactly in my mind C&V, but compared to most bikes I see around where I think it probably qualifies.
My 2001 Lemond Alpe D'Huez that I use mainly now as my rain-bike & gym-bike but that gets out occasionally. Still love it! One pic also with a friend who had a Lemond Zurich in a very complimentary color scheme. I loved seeing these two bikes together. I wish I had a better pic. Sorry for the offside pics. They were all I had at hand.
And on the subject... the shifters are pretty shot. I'm contemplating an upgrade. Any recommendations? Shimano 105 again or something else?
(Also, I know it's probably sacrilege to tow a trailer with this beauty, but it somehow seemed less aesthetically unappealing than adding a rack and panniers! And she still climbed like a rocket despite the trailer!)

I picked up these two LeMond frames recently for next to nothing. The red is a Buenos Aires and the red/yellow one is a Maillot Jaune. I picked up a carbon fork for the Maillot Jaune and plan on building it up. I plan on selling the Buenos Aires.

Some how a Greg Lemond Maillot Jaune is headed my way. It'll make my fourth "LeMond" bike and my fourth Billato Brothers built bike. I'll get some pictures up of it when it gets here. I'm curious to see how the ride of this TSX tubed bike feels vs the Cromor tubed Ventoux.
It's also going to be my largest LeMond at 56 cm so hopefully I can fit it ok. The Top Tube appears to be the same length as my two Giordana's so if the seller got the measurements ride I should be ok. Can't wait to see it, fondle it, and do other unspeakable things with it....

Lemond Victoire with new 11 speed 105 groupset. IMHO nothing sexier then unpainted Ti on a bike. I've also got a Poprad converted to a flat bar commuter. Roughly the same year, made out of 853.

Clean forgot about this thread. Here's some pics of the Maillot Jaune I promised earlier:

I've had some of my fastest rides of the year on this now. It's in really great shape. Only issue is the Campagnolo RD likes to ghost shift some under power and I've not been able to solve that. I'm also trying to come up with a way to keep it 8-speed but mount on a lighter set of modern wheels to really wake this rocket up.
Hardly a mark on the bike.

I had an 8 speed crecord setup ghostshift. changed both the cassette and chain and works like a charm. I used a kmc x9sl silver chain.

I finally finished the build of the Maillot Jaune. I sold the Buenos Aires frame earlier this year. The sale of that frame more than paid for the cost of the frames and what I had to buy for the Maillot Jaune build.

Oh what the heck. Let me repost the Maillot Jaune now that I've swapped on some new wheels. That took sourcing some custom spacers so I could take a new 9 speed cassette and rebuilt it into an 8 speed with the proper spacing. Then I put new g springs in the RD shifter to help it stop shifting down under full power. Shifting is better but still not perfect. This bike currently holds the PR on my 25 mile route even with the shifting problems.

Awesome! I took mine out Friday and did the fastest time on my 25 mile route since I set a PR on it with the Maillot Jaune. These bikes are just fast.

I'd love to find/get a blue-yellow Zurich (2001)..love that color combo..and it's basically the same as the '01 MJ(other than components).
Fwiw..in the last pic with the yellow-black tape the tires have been changed from the 700x23's it had when I got it to 700x28 Panaracer GravelKings (not the SK ones). Plenty of room for the 28's. The tightest fit is the DR brakes..they slide through, but just nicely. I checked the GravelKings with a mic and fully inflated they measure 27 to 27.2mm wide.

Here's mine:
Buenos Aires rebuilt with sram rival..

lemond sarthe, also sram rival, but with wider gears. About a lb lighter than the Buenos Aires, and stiffer ride.
