another (better) use for a glueless patch

I forgot to put socks on for my ride this morning. Very quickly it became apparent that I would either have to turn back or find a solution to the pain developing in my big toe. Delving into my extensive too kit, I found an un-opened box of glueless patches. I got the label off with enough stickum remaining to wrap it around the toe and stay in place. This provided a smooth surface to stick the patch to, at the point of attack. I finished the ride pain free, 62 km in all. This is my first success story with a glueless patch actually functioning as intended.

I usually carry a couple bandaids in my tool kit as well....a spare pair of socks would take up a LOT of room! :-)

I can never get those Park glueless patches to work for anything. No matter how much I knead those things in.

I have never gotten Any of them to work. They make a good, emergency moleskin though.

I'm glad somebody found a use for those things. They sure don't stop leaks.
