Falling in my Lap!! Plus..some help?

Well, the Craiglist gods are smiling on me. I love bikes in 9 out of 10 condition. Found this one on craigslist only 2 minutes from my house. 1974? World Voyageur.

I looked online and can not see any of the world voyageurs in the 73 or 74 catalogs..Can anyone shed any light on this? Plus. Is it a 73 or 74 in blue??

Any help would be appreciated.

Fantastic shape. Did those come with Dura Ace cranks? Wow. What tubing did they use?

yes. its totally stock except the saddle I believe. I think that they used led pipe on this bicycle...no really..its the typical 4130 Chromolly tubes.

How come my Schwinn finds of 1981 SS, 1987 SS, and 1987 Tempo aren't so immaculate? Am I paying too little or what?

Gorgeous Voyageur, congratulations!

What saddle is on there now? The original was a Fujita Seamless Super Y.F.C. That bike is also missing the original KKT RT SF pedals and KKT LL toe clips/straps, but fortunately those are fairly easy to find. Everything else I can see looks original and in fantastic condition!

Locally on, THE C LIST, is a [h=2]Chrome Schwinn Voyageur 11.8 - 54 cm[/h]good thing it is a little small for me...I might be tempted....then my wife would have to kill me.....:)

in 82 when I started working at a Schwinn Shop Schwinn put the Chrome voyageurs that year on sale for $200 dealer cost. I bought one. It was a nice bike and very blingly.

That is the seat that is on it now. I thought it was suppose to come with a brooks.. My other one of the same year has the brooks saddle.

That's in gorgeous shape. Tubing is double-butted 4130 chromoly according to the '73 Schwinn brochure.

You are very lucky the original Fujita saddle is still there! Those saddles have a thin cover that is very fragile, which is why so few of these bikes still have them. Brooks or Fujita Belt saddles seem to be the most common replacements, while they are not original they are at least period correct.
