Bianchi identification
 

This Bianchi I got free from a relative. 10 gears. I wonder what year and model of the bike?

The derailleur on the ride is Campagnolo Nuovo Valentino Extra:

The label under the handlebars, is “Eddardo Bianchi”.
On the trailing arm, it says "Touriste," on the other side "3 ttt Italy".
On the frame, it is also "tubi bianchi calibrati 1-20".

Looks mid to late 70's to me. Check for numbers/letters on the back of the cranks, derailleurs, brakes, as those should ID the year of manufacture. Serial Number on the frame of the bike may help as well.

The presence a Nuovo Valentino derailleur in conjunction with what appears to be a Sugino Super Maxy cotteless crankset would place this very, very late 1970s to very early 1980s. Bianchi models often varied from market to market. This one is reminescent of a Super Turismo but with a lower grade derailleur. Calibrati 1-20 is hi-tensile tubing. Given the era, the serial number could be on the front collar of the top head lug or both sides of the seat lug.

just chancing my arm here. i purchased my secondhand bianchi 625 roughly 4 years ago, in the west of france for the very modest price of €65 & the price of a pair of tyres. it is marked as made in the eec, as the eec change it's name in 1993 i think it safe to assume the bike is over 20 years old.
wheels are european 'fir' deep rims, the company went out of business in the '90's. mostly shod with campag avanti components, i think some later mirage bits were retro fitted, ergo shifters included.
the bars are etched with the bianchi logo and the stem is bianchi marked, the quill and headset are etched 'made in italy and the colour is an unblemished celeste, the saddle is a sel italia coloured black and celeste to look like carbon fibre. i know the bike isn't totally original but she looks brand new and turns heads even if she does creek a little when ridden. the only missing part is the rear pump lug from under the crossbar.
i am potty about this bike despite my assumption that when new it was an entry level piece of kit.
i would love to know exactly how old my baby is, the sn's are 495 & A591303 both numbers are located under the bb.
Can anyone shed some light.

I'd be surprised if both the rear derailleur and the crank are original. They are mutually anachronistic.

Pics would help a great deal but European market bikes are different from ours, so maybe approximate year is all we can do. I'll have to check but I am pretty sure Avanti is a mid '90s group along with Mirage so those parts are likely replacements as Noglider points out. 'Deep' or aero rims came along in the mid '80s I believe so it is possible the wheels are replacements too.

I would be inclined to agree concerning the current groupset? it is obvious that the bike has been very well looked after in the past and much loved.
as for the fir nettuno wheels, i suspect the rims were as suggested retro fitted and in their day were probably fairly high end, they ride relly smoothly. ever since taking ownership of the bike i have been sure it was previously owned by a keen cyclist, he or she changed a few components to keep the bike on the road. i truly feel lucky to be able to continue in the same vein. i still have to pinch myself when i think i got my bianchi for just $89. i will post a pic in due course, but alas i must confess to being a little tech illiterate.
