Colnago German EBay

Disclaimer I like Colnagos I have too many. I have no connection with the seller. I do not advocate buying the bike. I just thought it was interesting. I have never seen the head tube sticker before. Ed

Are we sure this is a Colnago?

With those pictures it could be a Huffy. But if so why put all the effort in making a really odd sticker. Ed

Good question, but I have seen a few "decal only" Colnagos in my life.

Anything for a quick buck I guess.

Can't tell much of anything by these pics.

What you see is the commonly available decals. And even then not very often. I've been doing this for a lot of years and Ive only seen a handful of fakes.
And we see a lot more early Colnagos here in Europe that never made it too the US. The sticker looks like a Pro job probably costing more than you
could get out of the bike. In my opinion until the late "90's" Germany was Colnagos largest market. You see all kinds of oddities on German EBay. Ed

Hard to tell much from the photos, but the double brake cable guides on the top tube are at least not inconsistent with it being a Colnago.

If it is a Colnago, I'm sure that's not how Ernesto imaged it to be ridden. Odd mix of parts. Is that a Super Record crank? DA 7400 brake calipers?

Looks like a Colnago decal on a Bruegelmann bike, or something similar, to me.
If it was in Frankfurt I'd be all over it, if only to satisfy your curiosity.

If it was in Munich, I would have my nephew take a look just for grins.

Not looking for another road bike atm though, just a little curious.

If you're interested I would talk to him. If he doesn't want to ship it himself the local bike shop would probably do it. I once got a "87" Gitane Team Pro for 140 Euro delivered. Full Campy C Record Cobalto brakes. The guy was in Tenerife pick up only. I offered 40 Euro to ship and had it in a week. Ed

The price is the easy part at this point, local pick-up only is the big add on unless you live close.

Thanks for offering - but I'm a bit too busy enjoying the Olmo at the moment to take on another project!

I've just fitted SKS Raceblades (Long ones) and now have no excuse not to go out on it when it's a bit damp.

Plus the 50/34 crankset just makes hills so much easier!
