Is the Schwinn sport tourer 1981 any good?

I'm riding a bianchi sport ss from the late 80's but it's a tad bit too big. I can buy a schwinn sport tourer from 1981 listed at $190 on CL.
https://www.trfindley.com/flschwinn_1...0/1981_11.html that's the exact bike. Is it worth it? I could probably go down to $150.

Everything is original on it btw.

$75, assuming it's in good shape, ready to ride. If it needs work, then less.

Is it any good, you ask? Yes, it makes a nice albeit large doorstop.

Yeah you don't want to pay more than $75 for it. Unless you have some nostalgic attraction to Schwinn and want to pay extra, just keep checking CL and other sources for something in your size. Those kind of older bikes (entry level bikes in the company's lines) are heavy with strong but heavy wheels and finicky friction shifters mounted on top.

Look for the Schwinn bikes from 1983 to 1989 in your size that are about 24 to 26 pounds. Schwinn Le Tours, Super Sports Preludes and even some World Sports from this era have Chrome Molly frames. For $190 you can get a real nice light Schwinn.
