Just so damn frustrating! Here I sit at the computer when I'd rather be putting that bike together. But it's just gone.

It's not lost, it's in the last place that you left it lol. I can't even begin to tell you of stuff I've lost only to have it reappear right in front of me after a hour of searching, Gremlins I tell you it has to be.

HA! Glad I'm not the ONLY one!!!! Years ago, while helping my dad build our new house (we were our own GC and hired in the trades, but did everything we could on our own) I was told to "Buy another Hammer" a number of times on runs to the Hardware store...always seemed to be a hammer short. As we neared completion and I was getting our workspace organized and cleaned up....I counted 14 hammers in the tool crib....Building a house and working out of a small shed, the trunk of a car, and eventually a two car garage is not ideal....Keeping organized is the key, but that takes time too!

Used to live next door to a nice fellow, whose cat liked to purloin all manner of things and take them to her stash. When I lost a pair of leather gloves one time, Joe told me to come over and check her pile. Sure enough….

I love it when I leave something "someplace that I won't forget" and then forget the location of that place.

Don't recall the cat every swiping anything, but we have had a couple of Corgi's that would stock pile stuff, the worst was a rescue named Bandit, he would haul off tools like there was no tomorrow. Fortunately he always stashed his stuff under the front porch so we knew where to go look for stuff.
