not me case
btw those brakes will flex quite a bit for just a tiny gram loss and bad aero bonus (on the front anyway)
it's just the worst mod
(in case you haven't properly observed, they're drilled all the way thru)
PS this trevisan guy, did he copy the campy logo or not ?

The round decals all over the frame and fork proclaiming 24kt gold plating is quite tacky, imo.

it also sucks that the signature looks like a computer script font... makes you wonder if the guy actually actually had anything to do with the bikes that bear his name....

+1, At 17K you'd think the script would have been hand painted on the frame instead of using that lumpy printed decal. even the rear RD cable routing at the right dropout, although different, looks awkwardly done... I've seen commemorative bikes that looks right, but this one just don't seem to hit the target very well for me.....

It appears the rear derailleur cable goes into the dropout itself (and then travels inside the chainstay to the BB shell). If so, seems a needlessly complicated approach; not having a ferrule there presents a somewhat sloppy transition and I wonder how well it works in practice. Not that anyone buying this will worry about that, I don't think
I think the transitions on the rear dropouts could have been done a little more cleanly, too. I mean, if you're planning on plating with 24k gold, the metalwork needs to be pretty close to perfect.
Does look like a Campy logo ripoff. Never having heard of Trevisan, perhaps he flew under the radar well enough to get away without a copywrite infringement lawsuit
I like it, though. Not enough to shell out $17,000, but I like it. Nice details, cool color scheme, pantographing, milling and drilling. And that seat tube! Cool points all around.

The brakes will flex more than stock, but are not "unusable".
And to be clear I'm not sticking up for this build as I actually find it quite tacky and poorly done. If you are going to build a bike for that kind of eye attention you should do a much higher level of finish. But again I could care less if this or any other bike gets hung on a wall.

Only the rear brake center acorn nut has a inlaid diamond, why no diamond on the front?
Other than that, simply an awesome show bike.

Couldn't you say the same of most Italian builds of the late 70s/early 80s? While I'd never buy it for $17, let alone the asking price, it has a certain je ne sais quoi of a tacky Italian build. Fun to look at.

I don't mind the tacky part, but as Jeff already pointed out if you are going to gold plate you really need to do a better metal finishing job. To me those lugs are not finished well enough for chrome, let alone gold. I've never seen close up photos of it to verify but I be the Pope's Colnago was prepped better (although I would not be too surprised if not). But yeah, this stuff makes me smile anyway.

It looks used...look at the chainrings and that drew drillium on the rear brake. I dunno...just looks like your everyday campy equipped bike with some panto.

Seat tube's wonky.
I'd consider buying this if I was either Liberace or a Vegas casino owner. As it is, I'm out.
