Let's see your 1960's era bikes!

The 1960's were a very interesting decade in the bike world, with many revolutionary changes taking place, eventually setting the stage for the bike boom of the early 70's. I just started my own 60's project and would love to see what others have done. Let's see your 1960's bikes!

Three Schwinns from that era. 1960 Continental 10 speed. Their first mass market 10 speed. 1964 Sierra 15 speed Schwinn's first mass market lightweight with aluminum rims and a 1964 Varsity. It and its many brethern were probably the most sold 10 speed ever. Roger

+10 !

Those bikes sure are a tough act to follow, but my gas-pipe Ganna still belongs here as a '60's issue.
(Probably a circa '68 model, according to what the company told me). It's had a few upgrades since I acquired it.

Agreed. While I would love to have a celeste Bianchi steel bike, djkashuba's orange bike is as elegant looking as those 50's French bikes that I drool over.

Sure! These shots were before a proper cleaning but you get the idea. The paint really is interesting…has a way of glowing and changing depending on the light.

Before I die, I want to own a bike with chromed lugs. I don't ask for much, but that's a must. Your Bianchi is beautiful.
