Help identifying C-Record era components
8 Attachment(s)
I've got some old Campy I need to sell, but before I can write the ads I need to know what I have! Of course it would've been too easy for Campagnolo to put model names or numbers on their parts, so here I am.
- Pedals: no idea. They're LOOK style and have "look patent product of France" written on them. - Brakes I think are C-Record Delta but not sure. - Brake levers ??? - Front derailer is for a triple crank, C-Record? - Rear derailer is long cage, and I'm assuming the aluminum lower pulley is not original. The upper pulley says "Campagnolo" on it. - Not pictured I have some downtube shifters that shifted a 7-speed Shimano cassette with the RD pictured. That's a strange combo. Given the time period they must be Synchro, I think they are C-Record also. Finally are my pictures acceptable for an ad? I have more detail shots, but are these good enough or do I need to re-take them? My camera sucks in any kind of indoor shot. Thanks! http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=359320http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=359321http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=359322http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=359323http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=359324http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=359325http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=359326http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=359327 |
Pedals are Campagnolo recor, made by Look
Brakes are indeed C-Record Delta. Rear dérailleur looks like a Record OR. The aluminum is not original. Front derailleur is Campagnolo Euclid Brake levers dont know. |
I have those same brakes. They should have an insert for Aero configuration. Velobase is your friend: http://velobase.com/ViewComponent.as...=118&AbsPos=15

Those were the first clipless pedals I ever used. I stripped the paint off mine and they polished up really nicely. Later switched to Time. They're early 90's Chorus level, made by Look:
http://velobase.com/ViewComponent.as...m=109&AbsPos=9 I ended up trading them to a guy for an early 70's Motobecane 531 frame. |
Calipers look like C-Record Delta, i.e. no exposed springs on their backside.
The Shimano cassette would be spaced near-identically to any 8-speed Campag cassette. The derailer looks to be from the early 8-speed era, possibly a triple as the cage seems long and the front derailer appears to also be a triple. Possibly those are mtb parts, but "racing triple" derailers were labeled as such. |
Thanks all. Yes, the FD was shifting a triple and the RD is long cage.
I do use Velobase but I had no starting point on some of these things. Hard to search when there's nothing to put in the search box. I probably never would've gotten the pedals or the RD. |
