Model and Year of this Shogun?
A couple of years ago I bought a Shogun frame on a whim. It didn't cost much, so I just put it in the "to-be-done" area of my garage. I pulled it out last summer and stripped the repaint off. That was easy since most of it was flaking off anyway. It had 2 primer coats separated by what appeared to be latex paint. I didn't have a lot of $$ for a restore, so I decided to rattle-can the frame and work on it as parts accumulated (they seem to do that around here). The frames serial number is S903144, located on the non-drive side of the seat tube. It is still unfinished so I thought I'd try to tap the accumulated wisdom of BF before I continue. I apologize for the crappy photos, but there is snow/rain/ice going on outside, and I want to stay dry.
Here it is now. It has 2 fender/rack mounts on both the front and rear dropouts - so I'm thinking a touring model?

Based on the headbadge it is 1979 or 1980. I am not sure when the shogun brand started to sold in the USA.
Don't know which model.
