Campagnolo Chorus/C-Record Chainring Orientation Question

Not sure if this is the right place to post this; if not, let me know.

I have a Campy Crank off a bike that has the outer, large chainring with the Campagnolo engraved words facing out (from the bike), and then the inner chainring has the engravings facing inwards.

Did someone install the inner ring wrong? I.e. should the engravings also be facing outward? The profile of each ring isn't quite symmetrical -- there's a small lip on the engraving side and the teeth seem to have more of an edge on that side as well.

Should I flip the small ring or is it correct? Does it matter?

Campagnolo lines up the "Campagnolo" and tooth count engravings when they install them.

For some reason they put the engraving on the inside of the 135 rings. When in doubt your always safest to follow the recesses for the bolt and nut.

Yea, thanks. Just took it apart now and noticed the recesses -- there's no way to flip it. Good to know. At least now that it's apart I can clean it up.

Yes, I forgot to mention that, always go with the resesses. My rings are all marked on the outside but I do think I've had them the other way.
