Steel Frame Identification : 'Barra'

Hi, I'm new here and quite new to bikes in fact..so do forgive my ignorance. I bought a second hand town bike here in the UK from a guy who brings them in from Amsterdam. I cant make out the age or provenance of this bike. There a red logo that seems to say 'Barra' (see attached pictures) along with a flower (tulip?) design.

I would appreciate any help in identifying the make, or something of the history behind it as I'm getting quite attached to this little old crate. Apologies for the terrible pictures, I can send more if needed.

Thanks,

D

Welcome, dadamann. There used to be a French brand called Barra, but I'm not sure this is one of them. This looks later and more pedestrian to me. Larger and more detailed pictures would help determination of its origin. Does it have a serial number?

Looks like cool town bike, but without bigger photos it is difficult to really see what we are looking at.
