Show Photos That Struck The Spark Or Fanned The Flames
What sparks our interest in a particular C&V bike? Sometimes, a photograph is all it takes. Can you show photos that sparked your attention to, or fanned your search for, a bike in your fleet - or a bike not yet in your fleet? Even better if identifying the rider, bike, or context provides a puzzle.
I'll start, although here the identification is no puzzle. Robert Millar, 1983 TdF (I think), climbing on an early carbon fiber Peugeot. People think the first CF bikes were ridden in the Tour during the 1990s, but it was actually a decade earlier.

Here is another one. Identification of the rider and bike will be left as an exercise for the reader.

Old fart

The Olympics we boycotted because of the Soviet occupation of Afghanistan (seems ironic now, though). It meant I was able to acquire this team frame:

Every time Scott went to a triathlon after that, his fellow competitors would sing "Y-M-C-A." Then, someone else mistook him for John Holmes.
The world was smaller then, and I didn't know a Basso from a Bass Ale. We had the same shoe sponsor. It does look kind of light on it's feet.
