Brooks B66 Question
 

I am about to pull the trigger on a new Brooks B66. I was going to get black, but the more I look at the pictures of the brown one the more I like it. In the pictures it looks like its a reddish brown which I like but I fear when it gets here it will be less red and more like my fathers 72 Plymouth interior. Has anyone bought one recently??

I know the color may vary due to the nature of leather but I was wondering what the groups experience was.

they darken with age and bumsweat. Vintage ones at least don't have to much of a reddish hue to them.

I have a a B18 and a B68 in brown. They're just plain brown, not reddish as they appear in some online pictures.

brooks does an antique red in some saddles. I had a b67 in that colour.

I would avoid black. The dye is never quite as stable as you'll wish it were. It will stay black, no doubt, but your pants will share the blackness.
