Chain wheel guard

The chain wheel guard on my '74 Schwinn Super Sport is a little bent and I am wondering if anyone knows the best place to buy a new one. The bend isnt bad, the bike is still ridable, but, it rubs up against the front derailer and makes this sound that just drives me crazy because it seems like the one imperfection remaining in an otherwise beautiful bike.

Also, does anyone have any pedal advice? Should I get a 1/2" to 9/16" in converter or just by 1/2" in pedals?

Thanks for the help.

(In case I am confused, I'm under the impression that the chain rear guard is the metal disk attached to the two sets of gears on the front crank that prevents the chain from going past the large ring)

Or you can go to Walmart. Adapters come with cheap pedals.
Or does that size go the other way?

You should have no problem finding decent replacements for your Atom 440 pedals with the 1/2" spindles, as the identical pedals (as well as the Ashtabula chainring guards) were also installed on Schwinn Continentals. If you have problems finding the guard, I've got a few decent ones laying around.

Thanks for all the help. Hopefully I'll be posting pics of my fully functional bike in a few weeks.
