What fork is this?
 

I was at a local co-op recently and pulled this mess of a frame out of the junk pile thinking it might be fun to build a CX bike (or something resembling one.) The frame is an older, early 90's Giant but the fork obviously isn't stock. It has a B stamped on in. Anyone have any idea what it is? It seems to work but I'm curious what it is. Also, have to love the custom shifters they've tried to use... My plans are to have the frame stripped and either painted or maybe powder coated.

That pantograph 'B' resembles some seen on Bianchi forks.
And since Giant built many of the Asian frames for Bianchi, maybe that's why it works so well.

Now I've not seen an application of stem shifter body-to-handlebar before! Cleverly strange. Although it would've worked more friendly if mounted not at the end, but where a traditional bar shifter goes.

A wild guess: maybe an early Bontrager with cantilever studs?

no, it's an Asian-made Bianchi probably something like this "Raddonneur" from an '84 catalog in Bulgier's site...might be Ishiwata Magny...

Good call; it looks just like that blue Ishiwata Magny fork.
