Ive spent a few days trying to ID the Peugeot road bike I bought off craigslist.

I think its a 80s PGN10 or PG10
Thoughts? Facts?

501 Reynolds frame
501 fork stamped with the Peugeot lion
maillard helocomatic hubs, mavic rims (not sure model)
sachs huret front derailleur (rear was shimano tourney, but I don't think that's stock
weinmann 405 brakes

Paint scheme
Grey
lion headtube
rainbow stripes toptube and seat tube
checkerboard on downtube

Looks like a 1985 pgn 10, I had one, very nice riding frame, new enough that it has a standard english bottom bracket, etc., so easy to put on newer parts if you want.

One of my favorite bikes. I don't know if photo distortion or what, the photos you provided are small, but check the front fork or tubes leading to the steering tube to make sure all are straight. Your front tire looks abnormally close to the down tube relative my bike below.

It does look the OP's bike could have a bent fork......

Bending the fork back moved the tire closer to the brake.
