My first Colnago..Help me with the year please!

If you ever been to long beach California there is a bike shop called Bike Stand. They specialize in vintage bikes. I found this beauty in the rafters.

Someone said its a Team Buckler bike

Colnago Master PIU

Can anyone tell me the year?

My guess is that your Colnago Master Piu is in the Buckler Pro Team colour scheme. I would also guess that your frame was made in 1991 or a year either way. It's hard to zero in on one year when talking Colnago frame build dates.

I think the Buckler team actually used this model Colnago frame but I may be wrong in this regard. I also think the Buckler bikes were fitted out with Suntour Superbe Pro gruppo's.

It's a very nice frame and a very attractive colour scheme. It will make a great riding bike.

So many ways to go with that frame. Have no idea on the year but it's beautiful at any age.

Not a fan of putting japanese parts on a Colnago and not thrilled with early 90s campy.

You can email the serial number to Colnago, who might be able to give you some information. It used to be laura@colnago.com that handled all the serial stuff, but it might have changed now.
