What is this bike?!

Hello one and all, newbie here!

So last week i purchased a little pub bike, just needed something cheap to get to work/the shops on and save my number 1 from getting ruined on those awful English roads around town. Obviously, i have exhausted all other avenues in identifying this machine, thus, here i am.

I know its probably not worth alot, i paid £35 for it with a pannier rack chucked in (bargain) but just really curious as to the age and model!

It has Weinmann 810 brakes, Shimano Tourney RD-TY10, 27" wheels, brake add ons. Its a 6speed on the rear and 2 on the front.

All of the numbers i can find on it are as follows.

On the Black Sticker at the bottom of the seat tube:
71-1222-6
6675
Made in Korea

I look at the BB housing and look for a stamped number, which returned this:

G 00205135

Any help will be much appreciated!

Thanks,

Benaruss

Welcome to the forums! Though I cant offer a guess on the brand name it definately has the look of an older "dimestore" bike with the stem shifters/disc/extra levers (not that there is anything wrong with that). :)

+1 I'd say mid to low end bike rebranded by a retailer. It is from the late 70s or early 80s.

If it runs and the tires hold air, then it's well worth the 35 quid.

Thanks guys!

It runs brilliantly to my surprise! Thought it would take a little tlc to get it up and running, but looks to be well looked after! Perfect for what i want it for! The chap said if i wanted the little mudguards to go with it too i can go back next week and have them! What a gent!

Some new brake pads, tune it up and clean it a little and enjoy the miles. Tires, brake pads, cables and chain should all be examined for your safety, it is remarkably clean and in good nick for that 35 quid, as said above.
