Oregon Residents: Albany Vintage Bicycle Show; May 10
A few days ago Sinister Deluxe contacted me to see if I would put word out on a budding vintage bicycle show and book signing happening Saturday, May 10.
Since this is Sinister's first crack at a show like this, I'm guessing it will be small but with the right attendees, it could be a fun, worthwhile event and a reason for us vintage folks to meet face to face. Who knows. It may even turn into a reoccurring event.
I asked a few questions from the initial email and got this response back (below), which I feel is all valuable info for all to know.
I do think a swap meet could be a beneficial addition and if you support the idea or have other suggestions, please do post here as I will be sending this thread to the Sinister contact I have to monitor. Or feel free to contact them directly through their website, mentioned below.
Consider attending and bringing your bike(s)!
I think it could be fun to use it as a time to get together, face to face, for some bikes and beers (and/or spirits)!

Thank you for your quick response and excitement for our event. There are couple of places we have information for the event:
1) Our website Albany Oregon Brewery and Distillery | Sinister Distilling - Deluxe Brewing
2) Our facebook page www.facebook.com/deluxebrewing
The event is Saturday May 10th, from Noon - 5pm. We will have food and drinks available for purchase on site. Minors are welcome in the brewery area and the tasting room will be open for adults.
We do have a flier to distribute (which I have attached for you).
As of right now we are just doing the bicycle show & book signing, but I would be open to allowing a swap meet & vendor area as well. We have quite a bit of space and if the weather is nice also have room outside to set up booths. This is our first hosting such an event and it is short notice but we are working hard to bring in as many bikes as possible and would love any help in recruiting bicycles.
I would be every glad to have any help in this and am open to suggestions and ideas as well!
If you would like feel free to contact the brewery by phone.
Take care and look forward to further discussions.

I wish I could make it up for that but it's prom for most of my employees so I'm stuck at the shop all weekend.

Make sure to alert Washington residents as they are also a committed bunch.

Thanks for all the help! We would love to see as many bicycles as possible in the show. Registration is OPEN and FREE and you may register as many bicycles as you would like. There is a registration form available here, https://sinisterdeluxe.wufoo.com/for...-registration/

Being mothers day weekend not sure if its unfortunate timing or not.A swap meet would be a big draw as there has not been one in the area for some time.

We would be glad to extend this to a swap meet as well. There is quite a good amount of space in the brewery. Any suggestions for going about this? Never organized a swap meet before but think it would be a good idea to offer more to the bicycling community.

One last bump for all you early risers in the Pacific NW looking for something to fill your Saturday with.
