Grimeca Threaded Hub

Hi,

This maybe to vague a question, but I was wondering if anyone knows what sort of freewheel thread would be on a Grimeca Hub from the 80s/90s? I haven't got a thread guage and want to buy a new freewheel - I may have to go to LBS and try a few?

Thanks

Martyn

Answering my own question it turns out it's standard ISO thread

Although you seem to have already answered your question, perhaps this might be handy to some future seeker: ISO freewheel thread is the same as English bottom bracket thread, so if you can thread and English bottom bracket lockring onto the hub, you know that it is ISO thread.

Thank you for clarifying that - that's exactly what the guy in the bike shop said. I was initially concerned because the wheel is off an old French bike from the 80s and after reading Sheldon Brown's site I thought it maybe a non-standard thread. It turned out it wasn't -I checked with my new thread gauge and it is 24 tpi.
