I haven't seen any that match my bikes either. I have a 72 Paramount that is chrome. The fork an frame are original but everything else has been replaced . the running gear is all 600 tricolor except the brakes. I also have a 73 Paramount that is as it was made to include the tubular rims and tires. The 72 is my favorite bike to ride.

Only once that I recall - years ago at the Chicago Jazz Fest I saw a guy on a Team Champion like mine, only his was pretty beat up, handlebars flipped hobo style, lock swinging from the seat lug. Miles Davis was playing though, so that was pretty good consolation.

Nope...not seen a Miyata 1000 or RB-1 (my main two riding bikes)...I do, occasionally, see some vintage steel of various sorts...

I came close today! Rode by an older gentleman spinning a pre-canti Cannondale (black) but I didnt have time to see if it was touring or the R model. I suspect it was an ST. I gave him a robust smile and "that's a nice bike" on my way by.

I saw my Raleighs twin, about 4 years ago, in an old shop that was the bicycle version of a wrecking yard. Old bikes and parts all over the place, unfortunately the guy only took cash, and only had $5 on me at the time.....The shop was in a building that was condemned, so they could put up another condo tower.... It moved, then went out of business, and last I heard the guy who ran it was back doing the same thing...

Since I'm a 'lifer' in terms of bike porn, I've seen lots of bikes that have made the rounds here and on the C & V Appraisals Forum that are still being ridden, and are still soldiering along decades after they were assembled and sold.

Here is a picture of mine as I got it. I have changed it back to drop bars and to a double but you can see how the decals are placed differently. So the frame is close and a lot of the details like lugs are the same.

Bought this pair of SR500 Cannondales from the husband and wife for $300. They were purchased at the same time back in 1988. I've since sold off the bigger bike and keep the smaller one that fits me.

I recently bought a 1974 Raleigh International frameset, then found an almost stock complete bike of the same year a few days later. It was a good price, so I couldn't say no. I will build up the frame from modern and (90s) parts and compare it to Nuovo Record parts that came with the stock bike to see which one I like better.

Unlikely. My bikes start off as frames and get built up the way I like them. Not too many other people around here do it that way. I once bought a new roadie and promptly modded it beyond recognition into a rando bike. I don't see bikes as bike models as potential for the bike I want with a lot of modification of course.
