Bianchi Experts - What is this?
I'm sure the Bianchi fans here will be able to identify will be able to identify this one - wondering about the model/year and where is was positioned in the product line that year. Looks to be in decent shape, but my knowledge of these is very limited!

There were a lot of Celeste bikes. The picture doesn't help us much. If it were better we could see the name on the top tube which would really help. The sloping crown cromoly fork and the decals would suggest late 80s, early 90s, though I'm not the expert that BianchiGirl and TMar are.
The wheels don't match. Not the end of the world though.
Of course your local market determines value. I was in a bike shop yesterday and a mint Trofeo (about the same age and range as this bike) sold for 800.

Looks to be from the Made-in-Japan period.

Easy test, if not obvious made-in-XXX or tubing pedigree stickers:
Japanese Bianchis have 1.375"x24TPI BB threading and a 68mm wide BB shell.
Italian have use 36mmx24TPI in a 70mm shell.
Do you think the seller is tall?

Its an entry to entry/mid level as evidenced by the Shimano Exage group. Tubing appears to be Bianchi's in house tubing. It's worth a couple of hundred if it fits.

Seller put up another photo - Ishiwata tubing. If it's a lower-midrange bike with mismatched wheels for $395 I'll probably pass.
i do like the celeste Bianchis though!

Follow-up: seller says it's a Brava - 1987ish. Wheels are matching Araya, but look different in the photo.
Still think the price may be a bit high...
