found these poor souls in the scrapper bin, any info?
i posted this on the Saved from the dump thread, but i wanted to get more info on them.

pulled them out of the scrap bin. looks like a Raleigh Technium.. and a 501 Peugeot Frame, obviously the raleigh looks beat up, but i think i can bend the drop out back, its not my size so i may just flip the thing. the peug is my size so i may keep it, if its worth it.

Still learning
Raleigh Technium 440 - low end early alloy bike frame. I paid my scrapper $10 for a frame and a front wheel, see details under the clunker challenge. Smooth rider, but not super responsive. It is a bonded frame, main triangle is aluminum, but the stays are steel, so have at it with your vise.
Mid 1980's Peugeot PH501? Look at the paper tag on the left chainstay, that will have the model number. It is NOT a PGN10, because it has a seat binder bolt, not the stupid a$$ quill seat post. Nice rider for sure, I have a PGN10 in 501 and love it. One of my best finds, at a Benjamin portrait plus two Lincolns.

The Raleigh is on the brink of what I would attempt to bend back.
Worth an attempt.
The Peugeot is not my cup of tea, but I would get it ridable to tell how much effort to put into it.
I would place both above trash.

I would have gone dumpster diving for the Peugeot, not so sure about the Raleigh.
The Peugeot looks to be an '85 PH-501. Unless the frame has significant dings or is bent should be a good starting point for a project.
I put thousands of miles on my PH-501 before handing off to my son. He put many miles on it and recently gave it back. It is now with my son-in-law as a single speed, but the Huret derailleurs are stored away for when he is ready. Good that this one has both the seat post and quill stem as I seem to remember both are somewhat odd sized... hope they are not stuck. Wheels were alloy 700c with Helicomatic hubs so no big loss there. I think the cranks are Stronglight, with English bottom bracket. Have fun!

the pug is in good shape actually, its covered in bird crap ,and dirt. looks like its been stored outside for a while, not many scratches or dings. im going to take it down to the frame, clean and polish. hopefully it fits!

I think you will be surprised at how nicely it will clean up. The paint with cleared over decals is decent quality. The chrome on the fork should polish out unless it is badly pitted. And the stem, bars, seat post, and crank should polish up with minimal effort once you get it apart. I like it but then I am biased towards the mid-80s pugs.

The downtube bosses on the Technium would make it a 460. Hipsters love these frames...if you can salvage it, flip it.

+10 Perfect plan. At worst, you got some good usable parts. If you can save the frame, all the better.

If you're parting out and the pedals and clips are Medium and in decent shape- drop me a line- I just found myself one set of clips shy of what I need.

its another scrapper bin find, the poor thing had a been "bumified" , had a rack made out of pvc and hose clamps attached to the frame, took me a half hour just to get the darn thing off. its got alot of scratches/rust on it. and it was absolutely filthy, but the bar end shifters, suntour VGT derailleur, and the Shimano 60 FD, all survived. So im in the process now of putting it back together. a buddy of mine at work just got into riding and he is training for a tri, he is using a walmart mtb to train on.. i told him ill take care of him. so this will be for him to use to train on, and purchase if he wants it.

That should be a smooth machine.
Light and nimble may not be words to describe it- but more than likely "smooth" will cover it.
