I've not been able to find information on any and it seems kind of odd to me that they'd just have that one small run in 1989.
Besides the Proxima/Pro Proxima, they made the Nautilus, the Proxima, various Laser models, the Formula(an offshoot) and the Nuovo Super Corsa.

There may have been others.

Mystery solved. Turns out the pictured frame was made in 1990 and was likely a Mens Sana before the Spectrum restoration work. I also own another Mens Sana and the serial number on it indicates it was made in 1991. Which kind of makes the information published elsewhere that the Mens Sana bikes were only made in 1989 less than fully accurate.

Still, both are lovely bikes to ride. Kind of wish my 1980 SR group was on a 1980 frame, though...

I'm fairly certain that all the information on the Mens Sana Corpore Sano came from this one blog post:

Radial front wheel built with special "ridotto" rims and early Phil Wood hubs (Cino was the distributor for Italy of Phil Wood parts.) Frame built for 175 mm cranks (came with two sets of pedals: one set of Campagnolo Superleggeri and another set of Cinelli M71's). First generation 1R stem. Chainset with light drillium treatment. Universal brakes (the model had just come out in 1977). It also has a proper Super Record twin bolt seatpost, not the later Nuovo Super Record seatpost with single bolt.

Since it is far too small for me, I have often thought of selling it but then always change my mind.
Very nice Cinelli SC. I also have a 1977 Cinelli and what is interesting is that although serial numbers for these bike seem to be all over the place, that is not the case for the year 1977! It seems that all frames built in 1977 have s/n beginning with 7 followed by a period. My bike is hanging in the garage at the moment and I cannot give you the exact number but it does start with 7.xx. The interesting thing to note about your bike is that it has brazed cable guides. This must have been very close to the beginning of this practice for Cinelli and the SC. My frame does not have the braze-on guides.

My 1978 Cinelli SC; I was running it with modern clinchers but decided to overhaul the original wheelset and I'll be running it like this this year--just waiting on an overhauled Regina freewheel (I'll just stash the original--along with the original seatpost, toe cages, straps, handlebar tape, tires and cables) and rubber.

Here is my 2014 Cinelli Experience Veloce
It's a European spec bike, I got it in Ireland, the setup is different from what was available back in 2014 here state side.
Compagnolo Veloce group set with Miche wheels, crank, and breaks make for a nice setup which keeps it all Italian.

Holy hell! I like that one a lot -- well done. No repro decals for you? Looks a little bare without them, although maybe that was the point

Nice!!

But internal brake cable routing didn't exists on Cinelli SC in 1971. If it's not the mod you are referring to. The very early ones had it (like 50s), then the design changed. It didn't come back until much later, don't have the date now. Someone else here can probably fill in.

The previous owner gave the frame a makeover somewhere along the line - internal rear brake cable, braze ons, re-routing the shifter cables under the BB etc. These didn't appear on production bikes until well into the 1980's. All the componentry however was largely original pat '71 and the frame detailing and lugwork were very much early 70's, The frame mods were the reason I ultimately decided to build it up as retro rather than restore as vintage

Ms Milano has a twin sister - restored with all the period correct details - this time around I just wanted to highlight the simple beauty of the frame without the clutter of decals

2016 bump!

What is the widest tire that folks are running on their Supercorsas? I am reasonably confident 700x25 will fit but am unsure of 700x27 (e.g., Vittoria Open Pave). Thoughts?

I'm running 25mm Michelins on my Neuron SC. They measure closer to 27mm and fit fine.

Wow. And that there is what my Grail Bike will look like, with only minor tweaks... Holy smokes.

Not a complete bicycle

but a quite nice little 80c 1A stem for the reach impaired that i just received for the princely sum of $15 on ebay

A little Mother's mag polish and this one will be good to go for another dozen years

My circa '83 Supercorsa shortly after I bought it around 2003 from Recycled Cycles in Seattle:

I sold it frame-only on Ebay some years ago. Why? Interestingly enough, it just didn't do anything for me. It was the heaviest bike I owned, too - by far. I have no idea why. However, would I own another? Sure - I'd like to know if mine had some sort of issue or something...

That's a fascinating place to mount a frame pump -- I had never seen that placement before.

Do you recall how much the bike weighed?

Well over 23lbs - was all vintage SR with clinchers when it was restored. Used a Flite Titanium on all my rides back in those days, so that saddle would've shed a bit of weight.

Here's a pic of it in its show form with a Concor saddle:

700x25 Vittoria Open Corsas fit, easily.

I think there is still room for 700x27 Open Paves, though they might introduce toe clip overlap (I am pretty close right now).

Greetings to the Tiramisu owner. I'm curious about this bike, going to look at a used one tomorrow that seems really similar. Can't find much online about them. Did you keep it? Alter it? Any idea what they are worth? From the miserable photo the seller posted on CL it looks really similar, tons of decals, Cinelli saddle, Sachs drivetrain and hubs, etc.

Thanks!

[QUOTE=ItsTimeToBike;17151265]I purchased this early this season and its been simmering till I decide what to do with it. I doubt it has collector value but then again it could be rare enough to keep unaltered in good shape. I'd be interested in hearing from anyone with info on this model. Original owner said all his buddies bought Stumpies and he bought this. Think he stood out a little?
