Vintage Hopper Help
 

I have an old Hopper 3 speed that I cant seem to find much information on. It seems to be in very good condition.I know its made in England, I think it may have been made in 1953, as the number 53 is stamped on the back hub. Also is the letter C and 14175. Is it rare? Were they mass produced? Are there any others out there anywhere? Maybe you could point me in the right direction or even give me some info on the ole Hopper. I'm replying to my own post, lol cause I'm not sure that I have done everything correctly to receive replys. I really can't find anything on my hopper! Please and thank you!:)

Don't sweat it, sometimes the gears turn a bit slowly at first.. I'll be interested to see what the collective has to say about this one as it's a bit out from the era I tinker with for now.

Try searching Elswick-Hopper bicycles. I don't know when they dwindled to naught, or when they were gobbled by Raleigh...
