The returning Guerciotti

I built this bike with 105 for my Growing Nephew. After one season we discovered he wasn't growing enough. I am giving up my GT Edge Aluminum in Trade to get my Guerciotti back.

Not sure how I'm going to build it up.

Three options I have now.

Campy NR top to bottom with Large Flange hubs.

Campy Mix, Chorus, Athena with specialized hubs as on my GT EDGE

Or..Build my first single speed. NOT SURE YET>

That is beautiful. Single Speed? That`s no track bike!! LOL
It needs gears, and pretty ones that match it!! To tell you the truth it looks great enough as is. :)

Is this the 1987 you have in your signature, are you sure about that year?

I wouldn't put money on it..LOL. I judged by what I was told plus what I saw in literature. If you have a way to shed some light on the model year please share!!

Yes, when I posted photos of mine with similar inaccuracies as yours, I was told ways the design will tell the "era." On the top of the seat stays you have the typed name, not the signature, from what I understand the signature started with increased production in 1982. This would also mean you should have the older decal set. Also, do you have a star cutout on your bottom bracket? If not, it would be an earlier frame too, somewhere between '78 and '81. And I think your Columbus decal should be for "SL."

I do have the star in the BB shell.

Well I think we need more pictures of that beautiful bike so we can all be sure. (an excuse for bike porn) :)

Steve..just come over and look at it..LOL. I will be stripping it down this week. My nephew wants to ride the GT I am giving him next month.

Beautiful bike. NR. I agree with MAV. Those seat stays are pre 83/84. The flat fork crown puts it earlier than that. Does the star cut-out have sharp points or rounded tips? Decals are post 83.

The star is rounded

I looked but couldn't find a question in your original post, but I assume you are asking for my opinion. :)
I would be going all NR, or NR / Super Record mix. I like to see Italians that are all Italian, and the NR and SR look good to me.

NR! Please not single speed!
