Modern chains in classic gold style?

Does anyone make new chains in classic 70s-80s Italian gold/oro style? With just the outer plates in gold.

VeloBase.com - Component: Everest Serie Special

I've only found "Bell Uni bicycle chain", it looks like gold colored but I haven't seen it in real life:

And I don't know if it holds any quality.

Also some series of KMC Z410 might come in gold. Hard to find on the interweb.

Not a single one in classic style of gold outer plates and black inner.

Look into the "low rider" bike scene. Those guy really maxes out the bling on their bikes with chrome and gold finishes, so I would not be surprised if they use a lot of gold chains......

Greetings
Not certain about the Bell Uni chain, however the Bell derailleur chains I've used were Taya chains that shifted great, however wore out rapidly. Back in the day(70's-80's) Sedis 'Oro'(gold) were the go-to chain for all the bike freaks, and not expensive, but alas, those days are gone forever. Perhaps you can locate a NOS one on flea bay. Good luck.

Those Sedis gold chains do pop up on ebay, but not all that often. Just picked one up a few months ago, and for about a third the price of a Regina, for some reason.

Thanks for a new name. This Taya chain is really close:

Yes, I am looking for new ones, not NOS. Tired of hunting on eBay.

No, but the 9-speed Ti Nitride ones might be the highest-quality "gold" ones you'll find. To me, they look much like that Everest, except for the "gold" inner plates.

If you do the mineral-spirits cleaning like some of us, perhaps you could paint the inner plates black after it has dried, but before relubing... :thumb:

Thanks, but gold inner plates on a classic bike is a no no.
