How to ID a campy 8 speed Record vs. Chorus rearderr.
Despite spending time on velobase i just can find out what the difference is between a 8 speed chorus and record reorder.
I need the last one so i want to make sure i don' spend money on the wrong one.
Could any of the C&V forum members through in some light on this subject.
Please be aware that english is not my home language.
Thanks in advance.

As best I can tell, the 8s Record RDs don't have the exposed lower pivot, where [at least the early] 8s Chorus RDs, you can see the lower pivot. Of course it gets murky as it moved to 9s, and the first 9s Chorus look a lot like 8s Record, and have the same cable actuation, so would work in an 8s application. I think, though, that for 9s Campy, the series is actually printed on the cage - so you can distinguish if the lettering isn't worn off.
To add confusion, the 8s Athena RD has the closed lower pivot, so actually looks more like the Record.
