Yep. He’s nuts. That’s why I ride with him. |
Quite a few brakes were lighter than campy. Galli Ti, Universal CX, Campy with OMAS bolts, Gran Compe 500 if you want to go Japanese. There were some others too. Centerpulls are totally wrong IMO, and I love Weinmann CP. Weinmann 500 sidepulls might have been used simply because they are light. They kind of suck as brakes though.
So what is the plan for these? Whenever I saw someone riding these BITD, they were covered in an assortment of weight weenie parts. Probably some were built up with drilliumed campy + a bolt kit. Early Dura Ace cranks were light. The rest of those parts make no sense. |

I second the Mega Tube. Get the Columbus Hyperon, it's a Bianchi. Anything else it was made at Litespeed.

Let’s see, the shifters work, brakes work, FD and RD work. The saddle seems secure, and the bike seems to go where I point it. I just wanted to build a bike. I am not on a quest; the holy lands are not at risk. I can get it literally lighter later, should I elect to lay out the loot. (liking alliteration?) I am neither dedicated to building a weight weenie, nor meeting some high equine rectal benchmarks. By all means send the parts you want installed. Perhaps a more appropriate, pertinent application of parts will in-pucker the problem. |

What kind of fork is that? Im assuming its a paint-matched carbon fork. Nonetheless it definitely compliments the frame.

Happened to come across the following quotes. I'll let you connect the dots and the legendary who's who.
Its publicly posted elsewhere on the net and in their own words. Skarin, the Teledyne test pilot vs. Gary Fisher! https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...fd80205481.png https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...4a6bccf3ca.png https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...29320e124d.png |
