needs a proper back for your back that is comfortable.

i'd have to remove those cages and put 'em on bikes, because that's just silly.

Really? How much time are you gonna spend up on the flats on a fast machine like that?

beer foul for spillage when rocking.

those are the "moderniste" stainless cages i prefer. i don't know if this type is made in aluminum, but i prefer stainless to keep the black marks on my plastic bottles to a minimum.

and they've become really hard to find for under $20. used to be able to find them for $16ish on ebay. now they're offered for about that price, but they're never silver in color. it's always pewter or grey that matches nothing on my bike.

i bought two used ones recently thinking they would be silver, but they're grey too. i end up ordering silver ones from a taiwanese seller for $22ish. seems ridiculous to pay that much for a cage, but i have to have them.

so i would certainly remove those and put 'em on bikes.

if anyone wants a grey one (or two), i know a guy...

I would consider sitting in a chair like that only when I'm old, infirm and can't ride a bike. In other words no time soon. Preferably never.

Am I supposed to want them when I am relegated off the bike and onto a rocker? Uh, no thanks.

All issues of comfort and cost aside, from an artistic perspective that is a remarkable piece. Excellent concept, workmanship, and attention to aesthetic detail.
Thumbs up from this guy.

I like it, but there's a few things that kind of missed the mark, IMO. I like the idea of having bottle cages/drink holders, but they are pointless at that angle. Who wants to sip out of a water bottle when not riding? They should have been oriented vertically. I agree the back doesn't look very comfortable. Maybe a full panier back would double as back support? And if you're going through the trouble of having a seat binder bolt, why not make it adjustable so you could adjust the height of the chair? Anyone see a price?

Don't get me wrong - it's super creative and even pretty. It makes me thing of a walker some how. To me it sort of says "Well, since I can no longer ride, I'll sit & rock in something that looks like a bike".
@auchencrow - Uh oh..... did I offend you? What part of what I said was it? Didn't mean to.

It think it was the "old, infirm and can't ride a bike" part - but don't worry - I don't hold a grudge.

The saddle bag and bar wrap are by Brooks. There's half the cost right there.

And the twine is the wrong color.

Ok @auchencrow. Well if it's any consolation, I'm 50, and have been unable to run any distance due to injury and going to PT for one year! So as I throw around the term "infirm" I should probably look at myself first. It's hard, sometimes, in writing and not knowing each other personally. Tone of voice, body language, etc. aren't present to help gauge intent. My intent is almost always meant to be playful, and never hurtful or disrespectful. I know you said you wouldn't hold a grudge, but I apologize if what I said was offensive to you.

+1 I agree the chair is beautiful... as well as well made. But it also made me see the natural (?) resemblance of [our] road bicycles bullhorn handle bars..... and walking canes.
