West German Bike? What is this?

Rixie, maybe. Its purple, that would attract me.
I think there was a Jupiter or Jaguar that was made in Germany too.

I'd buy it and ride it on Rt. 8. It rides smoothly there. Seriously though, I'd try to get it for $100 or less. Its a basic transportation, errand runner from the looks of it.

Over the years relatively few German bicycles have made it into the US. We have lots of Austrian bicycles, however, mainly from Steyr-Daimler-Puch, but also from Otto Cap.

Years ago I remember seeing German bikes with the brand "Executive" with a similar foil headbadge and flashy colors. The last one I recall seeing was sold at Kress in the 70's, but my guess was they bought closeouts because they never had the same brand or model twice.
I had a 20" bike as a kid with the Executive brand on it. I've also seen the same brand name on bikes marked made in West Germany, and Made in Poland. Different models, different sources?
I suppose that bike in the CL ad could be the same sort of deal?
