Bikes do grow on Trees
 

Winter is here and looking for a storage solution.

Made these out of Cedar. They are cheep to make and holds 8 bicycles.

That's a pretty awesome living room/man cave/garage/family room (whatever it is). Very classy use of storage space.

Well, you know those guys South of the Cheddar curtain think a night of frost is winter. Up here North of the the line we just think it's still summer with less bugs. :)

That is a neat setup and a very efficient use of space!

Looks like it might be difficult to get the ones in the back row out, but still a great use of space.

Imagine how many more you could pack in if you took off pedals and turned the Handlebars..

So did I. I perched my track bike on top of the bedroom dresser. She didn't care for it. I still don't know why.

Nice stacking! But if I that kind of wall space, I'd try hanging them from hooks set in the studs. If you staggered the heights of the hooks, to avoid handlebars banging together, you should be able to place a bike on each stud, or every 16". Has anyone here tried that?

Best I can get away with is set a couple up on the shelf for the winter. (a really high shelf - that's a 16-ft Xmas tree)

I was at his house when he was just getting started on the trees. He has 7 or 8 bikes in the garage. I do not remember seeing a bike in the bathroom but I did not look in the shower. He has a lot of bikes spread about. He needs a whole forest to hold them all. :)

All kidding aside, It is a very cool man cave. You did a great job on the trees. I thought my wife was cool letting me put an 18 inch subwoofer in my family room but you got me beat. :)

I have another rack just to the right of the new ones.. My bike shop area holds another five. I now have available space for the new Mercian that's coming..

With all the cedar, that would be a good place to keep all your vintage woolens (i.e. safe from moths) as well! ;)
